Teenagers Escaped Perth Detention Centre
A teenager who escaped from a Perth detention centre has been arrested after falling through a ceiling while trying to hide from police.
The 18-year-old was one of two teenagers who escaped from the Banksia Hills detention centre last Thursday, after allegedly assaulting a contractor and stealing his car.
The pair had been reportedly sighted numerous times, and are believed to have stolen several vehicles while on the run.
Police tracked them to a party in the Perth suburb of Nollamara last night, and the teenager was arrested after falling through the ceiling of the house while trying to hide in the roof-space.
He has been charged with a series of offences.
Police say the 17-year-old narrowly escaped from the house, despite a comprehensive search involving the dog squad and police air wing.
