Five people were arrested Friday when police in Williams County and Bryan, Ohio, found an active methamphetamine lab inside a Williams County home, police said.

According to the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to reports of drug activity at 946 E. Wilson Street, Lot 15, in Bryan about 4:30 p.m. and found the lab inside the home along with two young children.

Robert L. Fugate, 29, of Rome City, was charged with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, police said.

Joel T. Gray, 32, of Rome City, Melissa D. Gibson, 34, of Kendallville, Dawn R. Oiler, 32, of Bryan, and Dwight D. Shaffer, 32, of Bryan, were each charged with illegal manufacture of drugs within 100 feet of a juvenile, police said.

All five were taken to the Correction Center of Northwest Ohio. Job and Family Services was called to take the two children, police said.
